Making a stamping mold for ceramics - Saturday March 22nd
Learn how to make plaster molds for ceramics and go home with your own stamping mold!
During this workshop, you'll make your own mold for ceramics, so you can reproduce your pieces in series using the stamping technique. At the end of the day, you'll leave with the mold, which you can use for your own personal practice!
Our day will be divided into several stages:
- the morning will be devoted to making a shape to be stamped according to your imagination, and taking into account the constraints linked to the molds (shapes and counter-forms)
- In the early afternoon, you'll bury your form, then we'll move on to preparing and pouring the plaster.
- While the mold dries, we'll practice the stamping technique on pre-existing molds in the workshop, so you'll be ready to use your mold when it's dry.
- We'll then go on to finish your mold, which you'll take away with you at the end of the day, along with a technical sheet summarizing all the steps involved in making the mold.
