Workshop “colorful plates and tableware” in ceramic - Weekend November, 21st & 22nd
Come and introduce yourself to ceramics for a weekend!
Saturday, November 21st:
Learn how to handcraft your own set of plates with traditional modeling and stamping techniques. You will discover how to use plaster molds to create the shape of small plates, and how to create bigger plates with the plaque technique. Then we let the ceramics dry for the night on the shelves.
Sunday, November 22nd:
After learning about the process of painting with “engobes” (decoration technique in ceramic), we start by painting little tiles to test different patterns. We have a very wide choice of colors at Dodo Toucan, most of them we create ourselves. Then you start decorating your creations, to add beautiful and colorful designs to your tableware!
Your creations are then cooked in the kiln, at 980°C for 2 days. They will be ready 10 days after your workshop, when you can come pick them up at the shop.
